On December 6th, staff at Build Studios had the opportunity to visit The Museum of Architecture’s Gingerbread City at Somerset House.
The exhibition’s aim is to showcase the architectural talent that the UK has to offer, as well as to improve public engagement with architecture and the built environment. This year’s theme was transport, and the exhibit explored novel ways to move around on a small scale- all made out of Gingerbread!
Our favourites included a sweet version of Battersea Power Station, the Ginger Nutcracker Theatre and Build’s very own Elizabeth Hynes-Laitt, director of Hynes-Laitt Studios, who created the waterfront ‘Dance Instituttifrutti and Sugar Silos’ in the Sustainability Quarter
