IP protection for products is a complicated business.  Design protection is a complex web of copyright and design laws.  What rights protect a design and who owns them?  Are they separate from the rights in an architectural work?  How can product IP be exploited?  There is an ever greater need for architects and those working on architectural projects to understand how to protect their creations.  In this lecture, Gavin Llewellyn, a design law expert at Stone King LLP, will focus on key topics central to the protection of product designs through intellectual property rights.

Gavin’s practice covers a broad range of IP rights, but with a particular focus on design and brand protection and exploitation, as well as on helping clients deal with contentious issues and business risks related to IP.  He has 18 years’ experience in helping designers to protect, exploit and enforce their creativity.  Gavin will share his knowledge on how designs are protected, ownership issues and how designs can be exploited.
